Welding gloves are important when using a plasma cutter. Also I use a 55 gal. drum on rollers to contain the sparks and slag. Some expanded metal as a grate, holds the rose petals in position.

After they were layered toghether, I slowly started bending up each petal rotating around the center. This Little torch like this worked great.

I kept working around until all the petals were shaped how I wanted them.

The slag from the plasma cutter left some rough edged on each piece that I cut. I think it adds texture to the rose and makes it look more realistic.
