My Name is Nate Price, and I like to create handmade items in my spare time. I love to feel the heat from my forge. I have been hammering on hot steel on and off for over 20 years. I am currently using a gas forge, but I also have a functional coal forge setup that I fire up once in a while. Most of the items I like to make are functional pieces that can be used in daily life. The first time I was introduced to the forging process was in 2001. I was enrolled at Midwest Horse Shoeing school. After graduation I worked independently as a farrier for several years. Those days are long gone, but shaping the hot steel was something that I have never let go. I enjoy the act of taking a flat, straight piece of steel and changing it into something useful.
